We should try to ensure that our used electric and electronic equipment eventually ends up at recycling facilities where the recovery of metals is maximised in healthy conditions for workers and where there is no harm done to the environment.
Unfortunately there are not yet so many recycling companies active in Ghana, but there are a few options:
Another option is to return your equipment or appliance (especially mobile phones and laptops) to the shop where you may buy a new one. These shops could then ensure that the old equipment is recycled appropriately.
